COMPANY REFUND POLICY

We’re happy to offer a refund or store credit within 30 days of purchase, whichever you prefer.

All sale and discounted items are final sale and are not eligible for refunds, returns, or exchanges. A 25% restocking fee will be charged on all returns. A 10% storage fee will be applied to items held for more than 30 days. After the initial 30 days, an additional 10% fee will be charged every 30 days thereafter.

Please Note: Exposure to humidity and direct sunlight may cause furniture to warp, crack, or affect the finish over time. While we cannot control the environment in which your furniture is placed, we stand by the quality of our products. If you receive a defective item, we are happy to offer a replacement or store credit within 30 days of the original purchase.

How to care for your handcrafted furniture and decor

At Broward Design Center, we offer unique pieces crafted from natural and durable materials. To keep them looking beautiful for years to come, please follow the care guidelines below:

TEAK WOOD & SUAR WOOD

  • These tropical hardwoods are naturally durable and resistant to moisture and pests.

  • Indoor Use: Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners.

  • Outdoor Use: Apply teak oil or a wood sealer 1–2 times per year to maintain color and prevent weathering.

  • Expect natural cracks or movement as the wood adapts to its environment. This is not a defect but part of its organic character.

BANYAN WOOD

  • Banyan is a solid and character-rich wood. Clean gently with a soft cloth.

  • Avoid placing in direct sunlight or near heat sources to prevent cracking or discoloration.

  • Use coasters or placemats to protect from moisture rings or stains.

PETRIFIED WOOD

  • Petrified wood is wood that is weathered into stone over time, making it extremely durable and heavy.

  • Wipe with a damp, non-abrasive cloth. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners.

  • Sealing is not typically necessary, but you may apply a stone-safe polish for added shine.

WICKER & RATTAN

  • These natural fibers are handwoven and should be kept in dry, shaded areas.

  • Dust with a soft brush or vacuum with a brush attachment.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, direct sunlight, or extreme humidity to prevent brittleness.

  • For outdoor pieces, store indoors or under cover during heavy rain or sun.

GRC (Glassfiber Reinforced Concrete)

  • GRC is lightweight, strong, and weather-resistant.

  • Clean with a mild soap and water solution. Avoid power washing or harsh chemicals.

  • Use pads underneath if placed on delicate flooring, as bases can be heavy and textured.

  • Hairline cracks may occur naturally over time and do not affect structural integrity.

NATURAL STONE (MARBLE, ONYX, ETC.)

  • Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon) which can etch the surface.

  • Use coasters and mats to prevent staining from oils, wine, or acidic foods.

  • Seal periodically (1–2 times per year) with a natural stone sealer to maintain a polished finish and resist staining.

GENERAL TIPS FOR ALL MATERIALS

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, high humidity, or extreme temperature changes.

  • Use felt pads under decor and avoid dragging heavy items across surfaces.

  • Each piece is handcrafted. Natural imperfections, color variation, and movement are expected and embraced as part of the design.
